TweeSpeed is a Twitter instant speed meter, that shows actual Twitter speed in tweets per second. The auto refreshing web application gives you the number of tweets sent in the last minute.

TweeSpeed is based on the public timeline, grab information for the 5 last minutes and calculate an average speed for one minute.

The application is developped in Java (JSP), uses the Twitter Java API, and runs on Google App Engine, Ajax, Sitemesh for page decoration,Eclipse as dev tool, Google Visualization API Gauge.

With TweeSpeed,  you can know how people are reacting and reflecting to news as Twitter became a real time news source or you can know how active is twitter now.
