Microsoft officially unveiled the latest version of its mobile operating system windows mobile 6.5 at mobile world congress 2009. The new OS featured useful enhancements, back up and restore service, improved mobile web browser and an application store. The big difference you can observe in Windows Mobile 6.5 is the user interface.

In first glimpse you can observe its new look. Screens looks like iPhone. The new software follows Microsoft’s pattern of replicating their PC operating system for a small handheld device, though with a more flashy appearance.

Nick Farrell is saying Windows 7 is enough to kill Linux on the desktop. 

The Linux crowd were too busy talking about their superiority on the server and ignored the desktop to the OS’s eventual doom. Windows 7 is as pretty as Apple stuff, just as easy to use, and does not treat you like a moron.

Preston Gralla is saying Why Windows 7 will kill Linux.

Now Microsoft may fear Linux on the desktop as much as it does the Mac. It’s finally taking Linux seriously as a desktop operating system, ad it has designed Windows 7 to kill it.

Ron Barrett is saying Windows 7 will crush Linux.

It looks like all the arguments (except being mad at Bill for being Rich) have been answered. Linux users have no reason to hold back anymore. Windows 7 is well placed to crush and put an end to the penguin.

Windows Vista require a good configuration of hardware, which won’t work well in low end notebooks. For this reason Acer and Asustek released their lower powered notebooks with Linux. But now no need to worry about the hardware. Windows Senior Vice President Steve Sinofsky showed off Windows 7 on his Lenovo S10 and said it used less than half of the netbook’s 1GB of RAM.
