Apple’s App Store: 2 Billion downloads, 85000 apps

Apple announced that more than two billion apps have been downloaded from its app store. With 85,000 apps Apple’s App Store is the largest applications store in the world. Over 125,000 developers made it. The App Store has reinvented what you can do with a mobile handheld device, and our users are clearly loving it,” said Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO.

Upload and Share Files on Twitter with TwitUpload

Twitter is every where now, you can share anything on Twitter now. Twitter is becoming a real-time helpline in disasters or news source or something we definitely need in this fast and furious world. You know how popular is Twitter, it reached to Nobel Prize.

You can share pictures by TwitPic and share your files with TwitUpload.

TwitUpload allows you to share any file on Twitter. It uses your Twitter account for authentication as it is a Twitter API. To share your file on Twitter go to TwitUplaod and click on “Sign in With Twitter”, then you will go to Twitter to allow TwitUplaod application to access and update your data on Twitter by letting you to enter Twitter user name and password. Then click “Allow”.

Now you are ready to upload your first file to Twitter. Click “Upload your first file”. Shown in the graphic below.

Select your file to Upload. The maximum file size is limited to 20MB. Then add a message to it and hit “Upload”. It will take a while to upload your file.

TwitUpload automatically post and update the information on your Twitter with your message and link to the file you uploaded as shown in the figure. Your uploaded files will shown on public time line in TwitUplaod.

Its done. Now enjoy sharing your files on Twitter with TwitUpload.

Use Twitter to Restart, Shutdown or Logoff your PC

You can use your Twitter account to Restart, Shutdown or Logoff your PC. This can be done by TweetMyPC a Twitter application that lets you Restart, Shutdown or Logoff your Windows PC remotely.

After installing this small (382KB) application, you can see TweetMyPC icon in the system tray. Double click the icon to open the application.

The application asks your twitter username and password which will be used by TweetMyPC. After entering your details click on “save and close” button. Its is recommended that use a separate twitter account for TweetMyPC.

When ever you want to shutdown , restart or logoff your PC, Just login to your PC’s Twitter account and post a new Tweet Shutdown, Restart or Logoff to do the respective actions on your PC. Remember that commands are case sensitive. TweetMyPC checks for new tweets every one minute. [ via Rahul ]

Find Out your Twitter Following, Friends and Fans

Find Out in one click your Friends, Fans and whom you are Following on your Twitter with Friend or Follow twitter app. Just enter your twitter user name on Friend or Follow and submit.

It will show your twitter Friends – People who are following you and you are following them back, Fans – People who are following you and but you are not following them back, Following – People who you are following but they are not following you back. You can sort the results by Username, Followers or Location.
