Yahoo Messenger phone calls outsourced to Jajah

Jajah-logo Yahoo! to outsource its premium voice service to Jajah. Jajah - web activated telephony stands with more than 10 million customers. Jajah will handle the In and Out calls of  Yahoo Messenger, billing and customer care.

The service enable users to make high-quality and low-cost PC-to-phone and phone-to-PC voice calls. The Yahoo Messenger customers can connect to more than 200 countries over the Jajah network.

“The seamless integration of web and voice interaction is clearly important to our strategic partner, Yahoo!,” said Trevor Healy, Jajah CEO.

“This partnership with JAJAH will help Yahoo! continue to provide a great communication experience to our millions of Yahoo! Messenger users,” said Sabrina Ellis, vice president of Yahoo! Messenger.

Among 97 million users of Yahoo Messenger, the company has not revealed how many are using the premium voice services. PC-to-PC calls are free from Yahoo Messenger and a low-cost for PC-to-phone and phone-to-PC calls.
