Skype sets plan for unlimited international calls
Skype, the Internet telephony provider has launched its plan for unlimited international calls that charges a single charge per month on Monday. The plan will allow unlimited calls to land-line phones in 34 countries.
The subscribers offered two types of plans, Unlimited Country and Unlimited World. The Unlimited Country plan charges $5.95/month for unlimited calls to landlines in one world country. The Unlimited World plan charges $12.95/month for unlimited calls to landlines in 34 countries worldwide.
Subscribers can Save 1/3 when they buy a 3 or 12 month subscription by June 1st 2008. Along with unlimited calls to landlines it includes great features to allow friends and family to call subscribers Skype directly and a number the subscriber can use to call contacts abroad from any landline or mobile phone.
When subscriber can’t make free Skype-to-Skype calls they can still reach friends and family with an Unlimited World subscription. And best of all they can chat away without worrying about the time, distance or cost.
Skype is generally used as a software application running on a computer equipped with a microphone and speakers or a headset. But subscribers will also have the option to call a local number from their phones and be connected to international numbers that fall under their plan, paying only local access charges or using their cell-phone airtime.
