Blocked-Webisites Most of the websites that we regularly used are blocked at schools, colleges and at work places. How to access these blocked websites like Orkut, Facebook, GMail, MySpace?

Internet censoring is now everywhere. Governments are blocking access to undesirable Web Sites. China, Iran, Saudi Arabia are extending censorship over the net.

In Saudi Arabia, The Web sites from sex, religion, women, health, politics and pop culture categories are blocked. The websites that sell swimming or bathing suits also blocked in Saudi. The websites from categories sex, Tibet or Democracy are blocked in China.

Some social sites also often blocked including Orkut, Google News, Blogger Blogs, You Tube, Facebook, Myspace, Typepad, ebay, Photobucket, Yahoo! Messenger, Flickr, AOL AIM, Bebo etc.

There are many reasons to bypass the Internet filters and looking for tricks to unblock to access websites. The following tricks will show how to access restricted or blocked websites at schools, colleges, office or at home.

Use IP Number - To access blocked website, type the IP number instead of the URL in the browser address bar. This works well with domain name based access restrictions. However, if the blocking software maps the IP address to the web server the website will still remain blocked.

Use Google cache - If you are not bothered whether the content is latest on a site, Google cache is best. Do a Google search for the site and then click on the cached link below the search results.

Use URL Redirection Services - The Domain forwarding services like tinyurl.com or snipurl.com some times works.

Use Online Translation Tools - You can use online translation tools as a web proxy to access blocked sites. Altavista Babelfish, Google translation tools are useful.

Use Google Mobile Search - Google displays normal HTML  pages on mobile phone. But while translating Google removes script and make longer pages into smaller pages. See Digi Steps on Google Mobile.

Use an Anonymizer - The anonymizer websites will fetch blocked websites form their servers and send to you. In the view of service provider you are viewing the pages from Anonimizer website and not from blocked one.

Search URL in Google or Yahoo search and then visit cached pages of that URL. For quick results click on “Cached” in search results.

Use a public Proxy server - Its Anonymous Surfing. In this you can browse web via a free proxy server.

Web pages vie e-mail - If you need a single web page this method is useful.

Important: You should be careful while using free proxy servers.
