To increase Internet usage in India, Google worked with various products such as SMS Search, voice Search, and Google Map Maker. Google initiates local search like business listings, railways, flight status and cricket scores to increase the quality of search.

But there are lot more people are there in India who do not know the benefits of Internet. To increase Internet usage in offline population of India, Google is trying to engage directly by using this Google India Internet Bus Project.

The Mobile Bus is designed to showcase the benefits of Internet to the people who do not know more about Internet. The Bus was started in Chennai and will visit the cities across Tamil Nadu.

The bus gives simple introduction to Internet for a new users, with a focus on the four themes of education, information, communication, and entertainment.
